It is our simple goal to provide residents and visitors of Mid Coast Maine with the best opportunity to improve their health and well-being through exercise and fitness activity. Without complicated membership formats, program design or even technical fitness talk, we hope to help our patrons succeed through a genuine and warm concern for their individual interests and friendly yet professional dissemination of accurate information.

Originally opened in the fall of 1977, The Maine Event is currently owned and operated by Downeast Sporting Clubs, LLC. Together, with ten skilled and enthusiastic employees, The Maine Event offers a diverse and experienced array of personnel with backgrounds capable of helping most any fitness interest.
